Glenfiddich 15 years
Score: 61
Glenfiddich 15 year old is a smooth, approachable dram that’s earned praise for being “significantly better than the 12”—a step up in complexity and richness. Matured in a mix of ex-bourbon, sherry, and new oak casks, then married in Glenfiddich’s signature Solera vat, it offers layers of dried fruit, honey, spice, and a velvety mouthfeel. Yet for the club, on the night, it came last. Perhaps because it lacked the drama or edge that other bottles brought to the table. Glenfiddich 15 played the role of the charming lightweight. Enjoyable, yes. Memorable? Less so.
