Archie Rose Single Malt Whisky

Score: 63

The Archie Rose Single Malt didn’t quite find its footing in this particular lineup, ending up in a tie for last place. It wasn’t a bad whisky by any stretch, there were moments where its softer notes and gentle sweetness showed promise, but it struggled to stand out when placed alongside bolder, more expressive bottles. In a flight where character and clarity made the difference, it simply came across as a little muted and less defined. It was pleasant enough to sip, just not the one that left a lasting impression on the table. *Club Notes* "Hollow" "Don't" "Yum, and a good alcohol buzz on the tongue" "Definitely wine cask (white), freshly cut grass, toasted oak, and a unique flavor carries out throughout - like a herbal medicine. Good palate, honey, fruity, and that herbal profile carries through. Long lingering oak spices in the finish - from virgin oak."
