Glen Grant 10 years
Score: 66
Glen Grant 10 Year Old was a gentle presence in the club’s fourth-ever tasting, finishing 4th out of 6 and earning quiet appreciation for its easygoing charm. Bottled at 40% ABV and matured in bourbon casks, it’s a classic Speyside single malt that doesn’t try to impress with complexity, it’s more about comfort than fireworks. The nose is sweet, mild, and soft, with notes of pear and caramel drifting up like a warm breeze. On the palate, it leans into that caramel sweetness, backed by soft fruit and a touch of wood. The finish is sweet and rounded, with lingering caramel and a whisper of oak. It’s a pretty round, good all-day Speysider. Not the kind of dram that’ll knock your socks off, but it’ll give you a cuddle if you demand it. Glen Grant 10 doesn’t push boundaries, but it’s well-made, approachable, and quietly satisfying.
