Glen Scotia Double Cask
Score: 69
Glen Scotia Double Cask is proper smooth, bringing toffee, vanilla, and a hit of green apple before that biscuity malt and soft smoke roll in. The PX finish adds sticky sweetness—golden syrup, ripe peach, and a touch of spice—giving it a rich, easygoing vibe. It’s got that Campbeltown depth, but stays laid-back and sippable—a solid dram for kicking back. CLUB TASTING NOTES "Smooth nose, Bourbon, nothing special, sharp after taste." "Vanilla, lemon, pepper. Orange rind." "Good sherry nose, complex." "The aroma is sweet and mild. It’s definitely likeable. The taste is mild and fine. Nice finish with the drip. Overall a good whiskey but nothing life changing." "Light, smooth, spicey finish." "It could benefit from aging a bit more." "My jam. Excellent bourbon & sherry interplay, explosive caramel, honey, vanilla, some Campbeltown funky I'd say - glen Scotia double cask perhaps... Probably a little young which hurts the finish."
