Kilchoman Madeira Cask 2022 didn’t just win the club’s Champion of Champions title—it outpaced a lineup stacked with Islay heavyweights. Bottled at 50% ABV and matured in 46 fresh Madeira hogsheads, it brought a stunning fusion of coastal smoke and dessert-like richness that had the room hooked from the first pour. Against the likes of Lagavulin, and even a few cask strength bruisers, it stood tall. The nose was layered and inviting, the palate danced between sweet spice and earthy peat, and the finish lingered like a smoky sunset. It wasn’t just good—it was captivating. Members kept circling back, comparing, debating, and ultimately agreeing: this Kilchoman had something special.
