Lammermoor’s First Cask whisky is a true paddock-to-bottle expression from Central Otago, New Zealand—crafted by the Elliot family on their historic Lammermoor Station. What makes it special? The distillery grows its own organic barley, uses natural spring water from the property, and matures the spirit on-site in carefully selected casks. The First Cask was likely matured in French oak—often ex-Pinot Noir or Port barrels—imparting a creamy, full-bodied profile with notes of sweet caramel, dried fruits, and a gentle malty richness. Decent enough for a 4 year old. Looking forward to more older stock in the future.
