Longrow Peated

Score: 70

It’s smoky, salty, and just a little bit scruffy—like a beach bonfire after the crowd’s gone home. You get vanilla, toasted grain, and a soft medicinal edge, but nothing too in-your-face. The peat’s there, sure, but it’s more of a slow smoulder than a firestorm. Easygoing for a Campbeltown dram, but still got that Springbank soul. One to sip with your boots off and the sea breeze rolling in CLUB TASTING NOTES "Peaty vanilla with grapefruit marmalade." "Light, acidic sharpness" "That's a f**king Jameson. Lovely earth nose + dunnage musk + subtle sweetness." "Smooth but nippy palate, orchid fruits as it develops. 4-5 ml of WATER adds a burst of sour (?) as the fruit comes forward. Same for palate as any smoke retreats for strong earth & fruit notes. Lovely mouth feel. Develops some nice grain notes. Fruit notes do not diminish at all. Little more Water and scotch mist out in force ☁. Lovely autumn or spring peat option I think. Perhaps too subtle for deep winter."
