Talisker Port Ruighe is matured in re-fill American and European oak casks. After that it’s been transferred to deeply charred barrels and finished in Port wine casks. This single malt was released quite soon after Talisker Storm’s launch in early 2013. Another no age statement release quickly after Talisker Storm. Port Ruighe is pronounced Portree, which is the largest town on the Isle of Skye. That fact and the roughness combined to sweetness.
