Glen Turner 12 years

Score: 69

Glen Turner 12 Year Old made a quiet appearance in the club tasting, easy to drink, but not exactly memorable. Bottled at 40% ABV and matured in oak casks, it’s a straightforward single malt that leans into sweet and malty territory. The nose is pleasant enough, with caramel, vanilla, and soft cereal notes. On the palate, it’s sweety, malty, oaky—but there’s a sour edge that creeps into the flavor, taste, and finish. The taste feels a little bit empty, lacking depth or complexity, and the finish is weak and slightly dry. It’s just average, but easy to drink. Glen Turner 12 doesn’t offend, but it doesn’t excite either. In a lineup with more expressive drams, it’s the one that fades into the background.
