Bladnoch 10 years

Club Whisky
Region: Lowlands

Bladnoch 10 was welcomed into the club as a bottle purchase, a deliberate choice that speaks to its reputation as a distinctive Lowland malt with character. Matured in bourbon casks and bottled at 46.7% ABV, it offers a lighter, more delicate profile compared to some of the bruisers in the lineup, but it’s no pushover. The nose opens with toasted barley, honey, and a whisper of fennel, while the palate brings waxy orange, chocolate chip cookie, clove, and pepper. The finish is all ginger snaps and cinnamon rolls, gentle but persistent. As a club bottle, it’s the kind of dram that invites quiet contemplation and rewards repeat visits. It may not have the firepower of a sherry bomb or the swagger of a peated cask, but its charm lies in its subtlety. A thoughtful addition to the club’s shelf, offering contrast, conversation, and a touch of Lowland elegance
